The Natural Object Dataset (NOD) integrates magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG) data collected from subjects viewing naturalistic stimuli consisting of diverse object images from ImageNet. This multimodal neuroimaging resource complements previously collected fMRI data from the same subjects and stimuli, enabling investigation of neural mechanisms underlying object recognition with both high spatial and temporal resolution across three complementary imaging modalities.
This dataset comprises electroencephalography (EEG) recordings from participants performing three near-threshold visual detection tasks with varying cue validity conditions: a no-cue baseline task, a noninformative cue task (50% validity), and an informative cue task (100% validity). The study investigates the neural mechanisms underlying visual perception at detection threshold, with particular focus on prestimulus alpha-band activity and its relationship to perceptual performance.
This dataset comprises 64-channel EEG recordings and behavioral ratings from 4 participants (P105, P141, P142, P146; anonymized as sub-001 to sub-004 in BIDS format) who evaluated 210 short English-language texts (70 Haiku, 70 Senryu, and 70 control texts) on five subjective dimensions: Aesthetic Appeal, Vivid Imagery, Being Moved, Originality, and Creativity. IMPORTANT: These 4 participants were EXCLUDED from primary analyses due to segmented EEG recordings acquired in multiple sessions and subsequently concatenated during preprocessing, which introduced potential artifacts. This is a companion dataset to Poetry Assessment EEG Dataset 1 (47 participants with validated continuous recordings used in primary analyses). Poetry Assessment EEG Dataset 2 is included for completeness and transparency, enabling users to apply their own quality control pipelines if desired. The dataset includes resting-state EEG (trigger codes: 65285, 65286 for pre-experiment; 65287, 65288 for post-experiment), trial-by-trial behavioral ratings, and psychometric responses (PANAS, Openness, Curiosity, VVIQ, AVIQ, MAAS, AReA), enabling investigation of neural correlates of aesthetic and creative cognition during poetic language processing. All preprocessing steps, event markers, and metadata structures were applied identically across both Poetry Assessment EEG datasets.
A comprehensive EEG dataset comprising 54 healthy subjects performing three major brain-computer interface (BCI) paradigms—motor imagery, event-related potentials, and steady-state visually evoked potentials—across two sessions. The dataset investigates BCI illiteracy rates and performance variations, revealing that motor imagery exhibits the highest illiteracy rate (53.7%) compared to other paradigms, while all participants demonstrated proficiency with at least one BCI system.

This dataset comprises 382 electroencephalographic recordings from 19 participants performing a P300 visual oddball paradigm with systematically varied stimulus properties. Participants completed three experimental sessions, each containing seven recordings with different numbers of visual stimuli (4-9) and flash types (standard flash or cartoon face overlay). EEG data were acquired from eight scalp electrodes at 256 Hz sampling rate, with detailed event markers encoding experimental phases and stimulus presentations.
