Exploring the electrophysiology of Parkinson's disease - magnetoencephalography combined with deep brain recordings from the subthalamic nucleus.
This dataset comprises simultaneous magnetoencephalography (MEG) and subthalamic nucleus (STN) local field potential (LFP) recordings from externalized deep brain stimulation (DBS) patients with Parkinson's disease. Recordings were performed both with and without dopaminergic medication, across resting-state and movement conditions (forearm extension hold and self-paced fist-clenching). The study aims to elucidate the neurophysiology of basal ganglia-cortex loops and how they are modulated by movement and medication status.
